The United States could take a lesson from one of its own, the state of California could not regulate it’s way out of the carnage of DUI deaths and destruction coming out of that culture until!

California took a look at its civil codes in particularly the wrongful death code and did some simple math in my mind’s eye, that connected the dots to the people in the chain of events that caused the DUI carnage.

It was the public houses licenses and the way people were overserved so when they made it that reason for civil damages, in particular wrongful death would be shared with those that over served with anybody in the line of events.

When their civil assets all of a sudden were in peril it worked and organizations like mothers against drunk drivers gained support because the culpability was broad-based and the serving community had an interest in the outcome of people having a good time. So sparing you the details over serving people with automatic weapons and ammunition could be toasted from the same glass. So it might make sense that that glass could also be restrained by some of the same civil dynamic wrought t by California in it’s quest for highway peace.
