The local pool has been down for  maintenance for September including a approximate 50 ,ooo.oo insert shell for the hot tub.A source says that they are tentatively open on the 3rd of October but are relying on contractors. the pool is and excellent facility  employing 10 part time life guards and as well as the administration staff. It has a well equipped work out room and is well maintained . Pretty good for a small community of Merritt . It is a public facility in the City proper but has funding from the Regional district as is the library here in town.
