There was an artisan type fellow with a trailer behind pick up with four square bales of hay yesterday. He was parked on Voght coming away from the window of a do it your self realty assist. He said he was from the lower mainland and he paid $150.00 a ton for it .The four bales came to 4 tons a 600 dollar buy. He was happy with it and said it was cheap. He had purchased it from a local ranch to the north-east of town. The hay was for horses that he raised for raising at Cloverdale.
