Some contractors put a satellite connection on a power pole on Mammet Avenue this morning.Glenn Pole Contractors from Salmon Arm  BC were working just across from the tourist info center installing a device to connect smart meters to a satellite for transmission.

Some sources say that  the meters are still being read manually untill January.

The device also has cell phone capabilities and an 800 mega herzt hard wire outlet.
