It appears that the summer driving season is here as the price of a liter of gasoline went to $1.22.9 from $1.14.9 this week. Prices are usually in effect from May to September however oil retailers are not slouches it seems that the demand that brings prices up is softened for holiday weekends to encourage people not to stay home. A source says that the price went up 8 cents in two events on the 3rd and that gas prices in the lower mainland are $1.40 or better and should drive these interior prices higher. `The source also doubts that long weekend demand will bring the price down to capture that market.
