Today is Whopping Crane Day, you can make a noise with a whoop all day ( subject to social rules ). This tallest North American bird was in the lime-light 10 days ago on Endangered Species day so he gets own day on the 28th and not an afterthought. It is a serious day to be concerned about this bird.
Whooping Cranes can be known by a red patch on their forehead. A migratory bird going from western Canada to Texas they travel 2500 miles.
There is a stay in touch invite at the International Crane foundations website.
