The Nicola Valley Naturalists had their first presentation meeting in Merritt last evening, with a presentation by a biologist and photographer guest speaker. The presentation featured wildlife photos of the species of British Columbia . Educational commentary gave insight into the number of species of a range  including bears, bats , birds and others.

Jared Hobbs was the main presenter.   The event hosted by Allan  Burger and the Nicola Valley Naturalists,and  the audience included Dr Glen Carlson, retired biology teacher and PhD in botany L. Jeffries and many interested people.

The next presentation is November 18th , at 7 pm at the local college: NVIT

TEMPORARY OP PERMIT

The fellow that rides this bike uses a temporary  operators permit, he has three bikes and does not insure any but is allowed 1 permit per year per bike in Manitoba. The permit for less that a month costs about 90 dollars and works for him as a Water Bomber Mechanic.

He says insuring them is prohibitive for cost, so he must self insure the rest of the time something allowed only off road and on private property.
