Be there or be square with CC, and get the vibe right for the climate crew.

According to the latest reports from the United Nations and the World Meteorological Organization, climate change is still a very serious and urgent issue that requires immediate action from all levels of society

12. Extreme weather events such as heat waves, droughts, floods, storms, and wildfires are becoming more frequent and severe due to human-induced global heating23. The current global temperature rise is 1.1ยฐC above pre-industrial levels, and every increment of warming will come with more devastating impacts on people and the planet14. The goal of limiting warming to 1.5ยฐC is still achievable, but it requires unprecedented and rapid reductions in greenhouse gas emissions across all sectors14. Climate change is not only a scientific problem, but also a social and ethical one that requires climate justice and resilience for the most vulnerable communities1.

Thanks BC Hydro…

British Columbia hydropower and authority is a crown corporation or more understandably a non-profit enterprise chartered by the government to provide basic electricity to industry and consumers at a not for profit, minimum cost to the residences of British Columbia.

Not for profit means to keep returning retained earnings from year to year to the operation of the entity.

This flies in the face of the free market entrepreneurial driven philosophy that in some people’s minds creates what is called the unseen hand of market capitalism and provides for everyone in a trickle-down regime.

Canada is not a socialist country but it has a deliberately planned mixed economy so that the basics are provided and efficiencies from time to time are directed by government and returned to rate payers.

Although a number of marketing boards have gone by the way entities like BC hydro, the milk marketing board, and others must apply for rate increases and provide any efficiencies towards lower usage fees.

This is often resulting in secure bases for that risk generating entrepreneurial hand to operate and not cause things like critical shortages and loss of resources to wastage with unfettered marketing.

Are they getting carbon credits?

Oh. Canada we regard for you, a worldview that couldn’t make the true north Blue.

Make them show the unseen hand.

They do, show it, all public operations are legally a public interest and must file publicly. Touch wood.
