The Nicola Vallley community arts council has started its Febeuary Community show titled Beyond Fruit. The show is featuring still life from a number of Artists and Perspectives, It runs untill mid March at 3051 Nicola in Merritt BC. There is an artist reception on Friday February 17th 4 -7 PM.
The Arts Council is sponsored by The Province of BC, The City of Merritt, The TNRD, and The BC Arts Council.
The hills around Kamloops are noted for sage and semi desert, giving a diverse and wonderful eco system with a reasonable water shed and access to flora and Fauna. The amenities are grand and the sense of wellbeing balanced and set in a safe distance from harsher metros. However they are not Isolated from the arts and comment of societies they have the Sagebrush live theater.
Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

A look back decades to what was then the future, this video is a collage of events and endeavors a rational for exploration and discovery. There is great footage of the Space Shuttle discovery, one of three ” space trucks” retired in 2011 with the end of the 30 program. Dark matters beginning interest by people at the Macdonald observatory. Some featured photos of the solar system all on a foundation of a public relations film from Shell oil and the aspirations for the planet,
Is this just the result of all the generations of Trekies (Star trek) the TV series 1996 -1969 coming to age. We think not! Its more likely a mix of mans curiosity and pragmatic need to know the way to live and survive and to react to the powers that keep human life going.
The dynamics of survival dictate from time to time a cooperation to the sane and rational and have preserved the species as whole over that time. This cooperation seems always to need a larger then normal operating field than that of the individual participants, giving the value to space and its sharing of risk benefit return a credibility.
So good luck in your share of this dynamic and lets hope its more then entertainment.
