A heritage home was burned while the owners were in Kamloops. The Coldwater avenue home of the Robertson family had a restored mine car from the Bralore mine where Jon Robertson works and was designated a heritage home by its age .
A contractor Nick Beers noticed the fire and helped by using a garden hose till the fire trucks responded.
