Group Art Show May 5th- 23rd 2021

May 5th the Nicola Valley Community Arts Council is having a new show at its down town gallery. The Canadian Mental Health Association group Clubhouse is presenting from their Forging Connections program.

Thursday May 6th 2021 there is a meet and greet from 1: 30 – 2:30 Pm as well. Six people in gallery at one time and other Covid- 19 restictions.

The show is regular hours Wednesday through Saturday 11pm – 6PM Sunday 12 noon to 4PM.

The Nicola Valley Art Gallery is at 2051 Voght street ,( take the Kekilui entrance go up the walk.

For those that have passed.
Commemorating our Nicola Valley Artists Who Have Passed
I lost my partner of over 30 years,Gordon Cockle, in January of this year. Although he was very well known in the community for his writings in the 90’s for the Merritt Herald and his own coffee paper, The Merritt Morning Mirror, there are lots of people who aren’t aware that he passed away. And many people who don’t know his creative work. 
Gordon Cockle passed reporter for the local paper….

A legacy of art is being requested… Show is September 4th to 26th 2020/.

On until June 30th the Brambles Bakery hosts  Ron Robbie. The show is titled Imagined Landscapes and they say:

This collection of carefully selected pieces by artist and teacher, BYRON ROBBIE carries us to beautiful internal places. Cerebral yet organic, Byron combines nature with symbols into paintings that encourage contemplation.

The secret door group is having another art showing with an opening artists reception on July 28th at Brambles Bakery.
Artist this month is Cassandra Dolan, Cassandra says she makes her living with art and this month has put together the show based on what poets have said.

The shows run for 4 weeks after the opening.
