Star ship test # 5

Success

The fifth test of starships intended to go to Mars after an establishment on the moon was completed this morning. Little bit of drama when it was 2 minutes to go for a decision to make a very spectacular test that turned out successful when the decision was made.

Good Catch

Let’s just say that a lot of umpires were watching a spectacular catch.

Successful launch test…

“part of the game” 🎯

The launch of the Space X Starship is dreamed a “success” after a breaking away booster exploded and contact was lost.

“Eight minutes of glory” 🙌

The flight lasted twice as long as the first one back in April, it’s 4 minutes of test flight was also deemed a success.

What price data?

We concur that safety is paramount in data. Building a program on loss of life is not in the stars.

Success in launch….

Test considered a success

The test was considered to be a success. Data was obtained and the launch went through all the processes and the spacecraft left for orbit and was destroyed by charges because of faltering engines.

TGIF- Falcon 9, into the moon…

There is a portion of a Falcon 9 rocket going to collide with the moon. A booster from a Falcon 9 is the story now however there is opinions that it is a piece of another countries program. This brings the private and government responsibility tension into view as Space X is a private contractor. who is the bylaw officer for space waste ? Who can dump where, and who is for liable for clean up? Salvage rights?

Things never change much, have 😊.

Good luck Space X and NASA…

Launch is to take two Nasa ISS crew to lower space then return in a reusable craft. This is the first time since the end of the shuttle program that an American company has used an American rocket for this. . California based Spacex has partnered with NASA to demonstrate low cost space service. Donald Trump is said to be there for the launch of Canadian linked Elon Musk and his dream. Musk started his engineering education at Queens University in Canada, continuing at the U of Pennsylvania.

Weather a Factor…

Launch may be delayed by the weather man !

Yesterday the private space corporation Spacex sent its Falcon heavy rocket into space and placed a payload in space ( a cherry red tesla sport car owned by Elon Musk).
On this Day: February 7th 1907

The Falcon heavy rocket has nearly three times the payload capacity as the retired space shuttle. With 27 engines and two rocket boosters that successfully landed after use. The rocket is the most powerful in use to day. Not since the days of the Apollo program has a heavy lifter been used in this league.

The risk was great in the mission and the odds were 50/50 of a successful launch according to Musk.

Yesterday’s exciting and admittedly risky launch, SpaceX says, could mean game over for its private space company rivals. The Falcon Heavy will provide the United States a heavy-lift capability in space not seen since the Saturn V rockets of the Apollo era. source earth sky news.

The old 100,000 dollar Tesla roadster, was released and sent on its way to  No word on any way of controlling the vehicle with its space suited dummy (named Starman) behind the drivers wheel or if  it would survive a trip to Mars. It is apparently in orbit around the earth.

A trip to Mars mission with the heavy lifter should take 6 months to cover 54.7 million KMs trip ,which includes and an asteroid belt will be in its path.

The mission is deemed experimental and risky. Look for a landing of the main rocket making it reusable to measure this flights success.
