The downtown Petro-Canada at the junction of highway 5, 8 and 97c  is offering regular gasoline at a dollar one a liter. Its been that way through the weekend and for about a week making for a bit of a stable period here.

The summer driving season is a couple of weeks away and even this weekend had glorious spring weather beckoning to be out on those roads. If everyone of us took some additional conservation measure for fuel consumption collectively we could more then probably stop any price increase in the cost of fuel  from May to September.

We could then take an interest in weather grocery prices stay down in step with fertilizer and fuel for food production.

The local gas price came down a cent a liter this week . Retail gas prices have a range of value including lower efficiency ethanol content. It is good to shop around loyalty programs can also take of cents per liter.

At this writing the British Columbia average is $1.13 a liter, national average is $1.05 and the trend is rising.

TGIF- 97.9 cents a liter.

The price of gasoline has dropped again , another sent brings it down to 97.9 cents a liter.

There is a referendum going on in the lower mainland at this time that would see a 1/2 cent a liter levy on gasoline to pay for an expansion of transit.

98.9 cents a liter

The psychological barrier of a dollar  a liter was broken  two weeks ago and the price of gas lingered at 99.9 for a time but now it has dropped another cent to 98.9 at he down town Petro Can.
The convenience store/gas station at the junction of highway 97c/8 and 5 also offers a loyalty program that gives 12 cents a liter discount to card holders. Shell and Chevron price are par with the Petro Can and there is no feeling of a price war.
