Music in the park: Ashcroft

There is a pass the hat music in the park program in neighbouring Ashcroft this summer.Every 2nd and fourth Wednesday. Next session tomorrow, featuring Mark James Fortin.

Ashcroft is a small community on the Thompson River south of Merritt.

Heritage Park Place Gazebo 7 to 9 PM. On Railway Avenue.

Presented by Winding Rivers Arts and Performance Society.

Its good that it is friday….

A local used car sales business has at least one union supporting tagged vehicle displayed on its lot:. “Proudly made in Kentucky” is an orginal tag in its window.

On Thursday evening there is a presentation by the Nicola Naturalist Society.

Rick Howie is a Photographer and Naturalist and Biologist, he will be giving a talk on restoring nature in the Thompson area.

Opinion: Reclaimation is involved and its being presented in the context of some major mining expansions in the area.
