This piece is one of the many rediscovered treasures that are displayed on the walls of the art gallery here in Merritt today, show runs most this month.

Numbers of oil paintings, photographs all with some sort of tenure or aging or been around quality.

Take it in, enter on Voght Street next to Kekilui Cafe.

Say hy to Marilyn Kelly the curator for the Nicola valley community arts council. All volunteer. Or whoever’s on shift.

The Arts Council and the Old Court House Gallery are having a show for May. Running Thursdays through Saturdays until June 3rd it is featuring landscapes. The artist reception is Saturday May 6th 4-6pm.
The Old Courthouse Gallery is at 1840 Nicola Avenue, in Merritt, hours are afternoons.
On this Day: May 5th 1905

Finger print evidence is used to get a murder conviction for the first time.
