Millie a member of the Farmers Market in Merritt Photo KDG

The parking lot that hosts the Saturday farmers market recently got a picnic table and this week it was dedicated to Millie Mitchell. Millie a member of the market and a long time MLA’s constituency assistant, died by misadventure and exposure when monitoring bio solid  disposal.

Her and a companion become stuck far from town and tried to walk out at night she was overcome by conditions and died.

Forestry office

Local forestry office has a couple of plaques that commemorate some of there employees that distinguished themselves.
