This diploma from 1917 is on display in the Nicola Valley Historical Societies Baillie House, A relative of a current board member it sites Florence Nightingale standards.  Completed in a local hospital with practicing MDs supervision.

These two travellers originally from Stockholm Sweden are traveling the back country .Recently from Likely to Wells BC on mopeds , through the  back way on their wits. They were asking about an old rail bed route from here to Hope and on thought he Fraser Canyon.

The Canadian Country Music Hall of Honour, has started work inside their building. posted blueprints on the wall show rotunda, vinyl resurfacing, and flat screen TVs going into the building in the 2000 block of Quilchena Avenue in Merritt.

This Anne Murray hand print is one of some not displayed in the walk of stars proper , walking tour about town. It was on display in the building untill recent work began.

New plant

2.5 million dollars of federal money has Merritt a new wood pellet plant, it may use up to 50 people. The place is welcome cleaning up and improving an auto wreaking yard and an auto body repair place.

Wood pellets made from  bug killed trees could be  stumpage rate friendly as well.
