This Seventh Day Adventist Church, was before a Sikh Temple, before that a Pentecostal Church. I went to daily vacation bile school as a child there. My neighbours the Logan’s as a child were members when they had street meetings out of it. The Logan’s lived into their 9th decade and were born with in hours of each other and died within hours of each other. Phil Galardi’s wife was instrumental in establishing it. Galardi was in the BC cabinet with the nickname Flying Phil, as the highways minister he used a Lear jet ,as well as attracted speeding tickets to his rushed task of opening the province up for his boss Premier WAC Bennet.
Unfortunately in the time of the Shikhs it suffered a bombing,and street strife including swords.The notorious Craigmont kettle bombing of a young East Indian Bride by a members of that community.
Peaceful now it may be because of the long trail of the Air India bombing still in the news or maybe good management by multicultural mandarins.

There was a guy living on this piece of land between the hyways, just outside Merritt, and was telling people he was mental , seen in the bank and doing banking without a physical address some think he was an act to mislead. His actions were often animated past normal, as if he had an agenda. this is what remains of his camp his green tarpolan and a broken end table.
