November 1st being the First Sunday in November  would have seen the clocks change. That is  no longer the law in British Columbia .
British Columbia has officially adopted permanent Daylight Saving Time.
The “spring forward” on March 8, 2026, was the final time change for the province. On Sunday, November 1, 2026, when people traditionally turned their clocks back an hour, no action is required.
What You Need to Do on November 1, 2026
* Manual / Wall Clocks: Do nothing. Do not set them back an hour.
* Phones & Computers: Operating systems (Windows, iOS, Android, macOS) have rolled out updates defining B.C.’s official new year-round time zone (Pacific Time / PCT, set to UTC-7). Ensure your device operating systems and software are fully updated so automatic scheduling and digital calendars transition smoothly.
Is It Permanent? Will it Change Again?
* Yes, it is permanent. B.C. enacted legislation repealing seasonal clock changes and establishing a single, year-round time standard.

* No more seasonal clock shifts: Clocks will not change again in the spring or autumn going forward.
Key Impacts to Expect
* Winter Mornings vs. Evenings:
* Mornings: Sunrise will occur an hour later during late autumn and winter compared to previous years.
* Evenings: You will enjoy an extra hour of daylight in the late afternoon/evening throughout the winter months.
* Time Alignment with Neighbors:
* US Pacific Coast (WA, OR, CA): During the summer months (March–November), B.C. matches Washington, Oregon, and California. During the winter (November–March), B.C. will now be 1 hour ahead of Washington, Oregon, and California while those states remain on standard time.
* Yukon: B.C. is now aligned with Yukon time (UTC-7) year-round.
* Alberta: During the winter months, B.C.’s time matches Alberta (Alberta and Manitoba also moved to maintain consistent schedules relative to B.C.).

We beat him at his came this time.
