Launch is to take two Nasa ISS crew to lower space then return in a reusable craft. This is the first time since the end of the shuttle program that an American company has used an American rocket for this. . California based Spacex has partnered with NASA to demonstrate low cost space service. Donald Trump is said to be there for the launch of Canadian linked Elon Musk and his dream. Musk started his engineering education at Queens University in Canada,continuing at the U of Pennsylvania.

The provincal government alowed for electronic public meetings ( official ) on May 4rth. The legal requirements of notice can still be delivered by or amil media. The scope was the municipalities in BC and we think that the next thing (cool) will be holograms of councils and clerks to be in your living room. Remember the dream come’s first and may go past the pandemic.
The Province has issued a ministerial order that allows local governments to hold public hearings electronically during the current provincial state of emergency. Each local government will need to determine which electronic method works best for its public hearings. This decision to expand the authorities given to local governments under the Emergency Program Act was enacted by the Province repealing and replacing Ministerial Order M083 with M139.
At the time of public notice, the local government will be expected to provide information on how people can participate in the hearing. Options local governments may consider include conference calls and video conferencing. Local governments will also continue to be required to accept written submissions for public hearings, whether in-person or electronic.
The new order gives the Islands Trust the authority to hold meetings electronically without in-person public participation, allows for bylaws to be read and adopted in a single day and allows the use of electronic options for its public hearings.
In addition, the order authorizes improvement districts to hold trustee board meetings electronically to make financial decisions for their community and allows them to postpone their annual general meetings and elections until COVID-19 is no longer a public health threat.Go to Top

The health authorities are reporting only 2 new cases of Coronus 19 in BC today. They seem pleased, if anything involved in this pandemic can be said to be pleasing.

The local farmers market had a showing on Saturday the 9th. Public health issues were well posted. Public health is still recommending non essential travel and recommending local farmers markets.
