St Micheal’s Anglican Church in Merritt, I grew up just down the block from this church.
When the Department of National Defence had a mortar platoon support company here a paster from this church became the CO the only ordained Minister I ever heard of that commanded an infantry unit. The armouries is now used as an elks hall and him Nelson Atkinson must have passed on by now I contact him some years ago in the Kiwanis organization. and in my second term in the Rocky Mountain Rangers in Kamloops he was talked about fondly by soldiers as a chaplain.

The public pool is down for an upgrade the amount of moisture in the air from leaky pipes made it very difficult to safeguard electronics at the desk and office. The upgrade is being paid for in part by Federal ( every job counts stimulus funding ) government public works programs.
