The local rod and gun bunch are having a fish derby at Mamette lake 50 31′ 50 North,120 37 30′ West, in the Highland valley on January 14th. Entry is 15 dollars.
Local sport shop owner,and former CO Ed Hendrix says he is confident in the ice, but stops short of recommending that cars be brought on.
