For apartment buildings the federal mandarins want parking regulations and amounts made less PMC and more transit friendly (paraphrased).

Concerns

  • Designated parking zones for car-sharing services to reduce individual car ownership
  • Bicycle storage or rental facilities to promote cycling as a mode of transport
  • Proximity to public transit hubs to minimize the need for private vehicles
