: work started

The Canadian Country Music Hall of Honour, has started work inside their building. posted blueprints on the wall show rotunda, vinyl resurfacing, and flat screen TVs going into the building in the 2000 block of Quilchena Avenue in Merritt.

This Anne Murray hand print is one of some not displayed in the walk of stars proper , walking tour about town. It was on display in the building untill recent work began.

This picture is purported as the original Coldwater Hotel in Merritt. Burned down in 1907. Built by Wilber McIntyre, replaced two years later.

: New plant

2.5 million dollars of federal money has Merritt a new wood pellet plant, it may use up to 50 people. The place is welcome cleaning up and improving an auto wreaking yard and an auto body repair place.

Wood pellets made from bug killed trees could be stumpage rate friendly as well.

1959 Land Rover in absolute mint condition, restored at a business in a small community close to here. You could not tell that it had not come off the assembly line yesterday.

Movie Mart going out of business. these fellows were using sandwich boards to advertise a bargain as Movie Mart closes here and elsewhere in the province.
The company filed for bankrupcy in the US.
