The Canadian Country Music Hall of Honour, has started work inside their building. posted blueprints on the wall show rotunda, vinyl resurfacing, and flat screen TVs going into the building in the 2000 block of Quilchena Avenue in Merritt.

This Anne Murray hand print is one of some not displayed in the walk of stars proper , walking tour about town. It was on display in the building untill recent work began.

This picture is purported as  the original Coldwater Hotel in Merritt. Burned down in 1907. Built by Wilber McIntyre, replaced two years later.

2.5 million dollars of federal money has Merritt a new wood pellet plant, it may use up to 50 people. The place is welcome cleaning up and improving an auto wreaking yard and an auto body repair place.

Wood pellets made from  bug killed trees could be  stumpage rate friendly as well.

Another old five, a good one, shows up at the Coldwater Hotel in Merritt .They post that they are not taking old bills so go to the bank with them.

Van for tour

    Als ride across Canada ” Going the distance for Dad”, the driver said that her daughter was cycling across Canada for awareness . The event, the driver of the van says, was inspired by loss of the lady’s father some 7 years ago. The plates are from Nova Scotia and we presume that its closing in on its end but that was not confirmed ,the web site says its Vancouver to the east and have raised about six thousand dollars of a 25 thousand dollar goal. So don’t presume that it s finishing by the vans plates. Merritt becoming a frequent stop for bicycles rideing on cross Canada tours.
