Thankful Thursday

Today I’m thankful for the many things that have helped get me through my first two lymphoma treatments that have caused side effects each time and many trips to the doctor’s office for bloodwork, but on the good days I remember what it’s like to feel good again. I’m very grateful for my niece’s fabulous […]

RIP- Robert Keith Hume

Passed from this life….

Today there was a celebration of the life of Robert Keith Hume Merritt BC. The local legion was hosted for the event and Robert  was remembered in both newspapers. Born in 1941 passed away November 13th 2024.

We remember Robert or Keith as he went by as an employee of our drilling company many decades ago. + His love of birds he had very many exotic chickens, doves gamebirds at his pens and lower Nicola where he lived. The dove above was at the remembrance Day on the 11th. The Civic center in Merritt where a number of them were released at that particular point in the ceremony. That remembered the two great wars and the Boer war. + We are sure they were one of Keith’s many.

Keith a lucky man he  had an ability to make his own locked by preserving his honesty, integrity and pursuing risk and reward. At one point he won a million dollars in a lottery which he shared with his children and his wife and Mike. The old list and the rest of the family had a pet shop on the Quilchena Ave 2000 block For many years.

We remember Kieth.

Claimed lives change things

So, this is a point of change. We are not used in British Columbia to a cheap value to life. We take it serious that preventable lives lost are happening in the din of politicalization of dangers and the too often quick dismissive attitude  not backed up by science, basic precepts of law, or common sense.

We at the proprietary review ask people to rethink their presentation of opinion to knowing and do the proper research before you endorse even vicariously the easy dismissal of things like vaccines, flood danger, a fire danger and such this will bring you more peace and keep your conscience from being troubled at night.

Sometimes and more and more than before a statement of I don’t know enough about those things to give a responsible reply . Can I get back to you..

Please base your talk on views that can be verified.

This is now serious.

Friends in  the Near East, send them an e card ..

When consoling people living under the threat of catastrophic danger, it’s important to offer support and empathy. Here are some suggestions on how to console them:

  1. Express empathy: Acknowledge their feelings and show that you understand the difficult situation they are in.
  2. Offer practical help: If possible, assist with tangible support such as offering a place to stay, food, or helping with evacuation plans.
  3. Listen actively: Encourage them to express their concerns and fears, and actively listen without judgment.
  4. Share positive messages: Provide words of hope and encouragement, reminding them of their strength and resilience.
  5. Stay connected: Offer to keep in regular contact to provide ongoing support and reassurance.

Remember to tailor your approach to the individual’s specific needs and be sensitive to their emotional state. It’s also important to encourage them to seek professional help if they are struggling to cope.

If you’d like to send an e-card with a positive message to friends in the Near East, consider using a platform like Hallmark or Blue Mountain for a thoughtful and personalized touch.

Sunday,Soul Solist. Ready for fathers day…

What is Solist and when is it available?

The emotional state of a solist can vary depending on the individual and their current circumstances. Solist performances can be sought for a range of emotional states, including moments of celebration, reflection, contemplation, inspiration, and more. It is often appreciated in settings where a deep emotional connection with the music is desired, such as during concerts, special events, or personal moments of significance.

Last weekend saw a dinner and golf tournament for the federal police force in Merritt. In the mix was a remembrance and refreshment of the risks to being in he thin red line.

Gentle Tuesday

Gentle is as gentle does…

Gentleness is a highly valued trait that involves being kind, tender, and considerate in one’s actions and words. It is often associated with compassion, empathy, and understanding towards others. Gentle individuals are known for their soothing and peaceful presence, and they tend to handle situations with care and sensitivity.

In personal interactions, gentleness can create a calming and reassuring atmosphere, fostering trust and respect. It is also a key component in effective communication, as it helps to avoid unnecessary conflict and promotes harmony in relationships.

Gentleness is not a sign of weakness, but rather a display of strength and thoughtfulness. It allows for the nurturing of others while maintaining composure and grace, even in challenging circumstances.

Remember that being gentle with yourself and others can lead to more meaningful and positive connections. Ai

Give gentleness see if it comes back… K

TGIF- First full day of winter 23/24

Winter 20 23/24

Our winter including today will run to March 20th 2024. This is a critical one for us we need to heal from the trauma of recent times, so we should use the winter as a time of storeing resolve and strength. for an expected life and breaking with emergency should be all our hope. although we must not denigh what may come if its reality, but fewer folks stuck in misinformation and speculation could serve the population better then the fear.

Healthy minds and bodies are a good preparation for any future. Rumour can mount as grief.

So, we welcome the cycle change and will prepare for a future of peace with progress over fear.

Spring starts on March 20th

The spring

The spring (equinox) solstice, also known as the vernal equinox, marks the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. It occurs when the tilt of the Earth’s axis is neither away from nor towards the Sun, resulting in nearly equal hours of daylight and darkness. In 2024, the spring equinox is expected to take place on March 20th. This astronomical event has been celebrated in various cultures for centuries and symbolizes renewal, fertility, and the arrival of warmer weather.

Grief in any language…

Language is an issue

To communicate you need to be understood. so language is an issue but notan unsolveable one.

Breaking language barriers in communications can be challenging but not impossible. Here are some strategies that can help:

  1. Learn a common language: If you frequently communicate with individuals who speak different languages, consider learning a common language that both parties can understand. This can facilitate smoother and more effective communication.
  2. Use translation tools: Utilize technology to aid in communication. There are many translation tools and apps available that can help convert spoken or written words from one language to another in real-time. These tools can be especially useful for immediate translations during conversations or meetings.
  3. Simplify your language: When communicating with someone who doesn’t speak your language fluently, try to use simple and clear language. Avoid jargon, technical terms, or complex sentence structures that may confuse the other person.
  4. Visual aids and gestures: Incorporate visual aids and gestures to enhance understanding. For example, using pictures, graphs, or charts can help convey information more easily. Additionally, body language and hand gestures can often bridge communication gaps.
  5. Practice active listening: Active listening involves giving your full attention to the speaker and trying to understand their message. Even if you don’t speak the same language, displaying sincere interest through attentive listening can make the other person feel valued and encourage them to communicate more effectively.
  6. Seek cultural understanding: In addition to language, cultural differences can also pose communication challenges. Make an effort to learn about and understand the cultural context of the person you are communicating with. This can help avoid misunderstandings and promote effective cross-cultural communication.

Remember, breaking language barriers requires patience and understanding from both parties. By employing these strategies, you can foster better communication and build stronger relationships, regardless of linguistic differences.
