The  Merritt BC library is at 1691 Garcia street in Merritt BC. A pride of numbers of  second war vets it stands on the iconic CPR station site and has model trains to remember that pioneer history.

Adult programs include:

Cards and crib: Tuesdays 1PM.

Fly tying:  Wednesdays 6-7:30 PM

Knitting: Second Wednesdays, 6- 7:30 PM

Coffee and Crosswords: Thursdays  11 AM

Painting: Every Thursday, 10am- 3pm

Any one that has a dad and a grand dad that were 4 star naval admirals and starts a 6 term political career in a land locked desert state must have been a great man. Earning his smarts by a lot of hard knocks Senator Mclean and the US military the man passed away a day before his 82nd birthday. Leaving a grieving family, state and nation. So long senator John McCain.

His heritage of civility will be a benchmark for attitude for a long time. He also embodied the right to fail with out shame, take up if you dare….
