One of my kids went all the way to Los Angeles to drive one of four of theses trucks back for  the local contractor Lower Nicola Backhoe to set up a competing  business here. The business Phoenix Ready Mix competes with  a well established company called Norgaard Ready Mix that has outlived other attempts.

The owner of the junk yard that’s being developed into a wood pellet plant once said he was a million aire but it was in his piles of wreaks. His son now runs the business and I wonder if he has an appreciation for all aluminium classic parts like this Land rover ,romantically tied to the plains of Serengeti and other frontiers.
