Review : Camille

David Caridine, Ed Lanther, Scott Glenn.

DVD, Format 2009 PG 13

Kentucky setting for this film, with elected sheriffs with wide-brimmed Stetson Hats makes for a perfect place and stage for a parody on marriage. Camille played by Siemna Milkr is going to get married to her fixation of a boyfriend and not be put off by anything including death. The parody of a person desperate to be married is made real by images such as her taking her own wedding pictures with a Polaroid Camera ,and having to coax an affirmative response to the I do question from her betrothed. An accident intervenes on the way to Niagara Falls and the fun starts. The story line goes from plain parody to fairy tale with images that should incite caution in those planning for a wedding.
Without giving away the ending we can say that with a cowboy circus character played by David Caridine the film takes you to a feeling of satire. Calling into questions the worth of fairy tales making sense of painful issues in life. James Franco playing the groom in a role that a reasonable person would think a lesson for being in control of your life, and with deference to the things that come at you. Misadventure and allowing events that normally would put someone behind bars translates in to comedy, and a fairy tale deliverance .The real tangible value to this film is for those planning or have had a wedding.
A couple could use the story as a frame of reference to say well it was not as bad as that. ( Camille)

Review: Nicola Valley Honey

Produced by Nicola Valley Apiaries, just outside Merritt on Coldwater Road by Meg Paulson, proprietor and partner . The product is widely distributed in British Colombia. The honey as sampled by a token sample given out at a local business development societies function (government mandated) is clear and golden. It has a consistency of liquid and a thickness that is not frustrating for use as spread or sweetener for hot drinks.

The honey got, Best All Round Honey in the National Post on Oct 7th 2006.The business is in its 30th year producing this year 60 thousand pounds of honey. A one Kilo Gram jar is 11 dollars at the downtown tourist information booth in Merritt, and is available at the Quilchena Store, Nicola Ranch Store and local super markets Also available in fruit stands in th Similkemeen including Keremeos and in the Okanogan. It is available also in supermarkets in Vancouver at Coopers and others.

For a good all round Honey Nicola Valley Honey (gold lettering ):

The  Prudence  of  one matters against the missing  informed many.

In the natural world, success is often defined by an organism’s ability to thrive and reproduce within its environment. Traits like adaptation, resilience, efficient resource utilization, and the ability to form symbiotic relationships contribute to the success of species in their natural habitats. Additionally, factors such as predator avoidance, reproductive success, and environmental balance play crucial roles in determining success in the natural world.

Adaptation in the natural world can generally be viewed as a multifaceted process encompassing several stages:

  1. Recognition of Change: Organisms first encounter a change in their environment, which may present either a new challenge or opportunity.
  2. Response and Adjustment: Following the recognition of change, organisms respond by making adjustments in their behavior, physiology, or morphology to better fit the new conditions.
  3. Reproduction of Adapted Traits: Successful adaptations may be passed on through reproduction, leading to the proliferation of advantageous traits within a population over successive generations.
  4. Integration and Stability: Over time, adapted traits become integrated into the population and contribute to its stability within the environment.

These stages illustrate how adaptation unfolds over time as species interact with and respond to changes in their natural habitats.

Creating a Good Sleep Strategy

Getting enough restful sleep is essential for overall well-being. Here are some strategies to help you improve your sleep quality:

  1. Establish a Consistent Sleep Schedule: Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends.
  2. Create a Relaxing Bedtime Routine: Engage in calming activities before bed, such as reading, taking a warm bath, or practicing relaxation exercises.
  3. Optimize Your Sleep Environment: Make sure your bedroom is conducive to sleep by minimizing noise, light, and excessive heat. Comfortable bedding and a good mattress can also make a difference.
  4. Limit Screen Time: Avoid electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers at least an hour before bed, as the blue light emitted can interfere with your body’s natural sleep-wake cycle.
  5. Watch Your Diet: Avoid heavy meals, caffeine, and alcohol close to bedtime. Instead, opt for a light snack if you’re hungry.
  6. Stay Active: Regular physical activity can promote better sleep. However, avoid vigorous exercise close to bedtime.
  7. Manage Stress: Practice stress-reducing techniques such as meditation, deep breathing, or yoga to help calm your mind before sleep.

By implementing these strategies, you can improve your sleep quality and overall health.

Yes, you and  ancient protein hunters like tardigrades I have something in common successful ones, live harder and stronger and the tardigrades are transferable to human aging difficulties.

So , extremophiles are no stranger  to your chemical makeup. And they will be in The fray for eons of time. And we welcome that knowledge with humility and wonder.

💫

I hear  you, is carbon dioxide responsible for global warming? Yes it is, it is not the only factor but its been the determinate of temperature for some time. And maybe not entirely how you think it is doing that.

Carbon dioxide is the chemical residue that is produced by the burning of carbon. Adding oxygen in two parts to the carbon through burning or the laws of thermal dynamics  will give that gas into the atmosphere where it can be taken up by plants and the two parts of oxygen are given off back into the atmosphere in photosynthesis .  Then we breath that oxygen and burn carbon in our cells when eating and by the delivery by blood.  Carbon dioxide is then taken back to our lungs expelled and available to plants.

So these processes are balanced by environment, the animals that take in and breath it out are  tuned by nature to the quantities of both CO2 and oxygen. So when PPM gets out of ballance species  go extinct and a transition driven.

So, unfortunately humans in these transitions may have to live with extremafiles for longer then they can possibly survive.

So lets look at an analogy, say the united human race party expelled a member into the environment that environment was in flux, lets call it an election mandate. That creature would have to adapt to different oxygen levels in the rooms that the party gathered in, however the community of extremafiles there-with would mitigate the transition and seek carbon that they were able to burn at their metabolic pleasure. Thus allowing the former UHR member to transition and that maybe in only few generations!

Call them election cycles, however if too much CO2 goes into the ocean environment ( call it the federal government ) Then more heat is not mitigated by cool water, lets call it government deficit spending, then the UHR guy has a real problem the environment is changing quicker then he can adapt and he faces extinction. If he is the only one left and to far out in the ocean to make it back to where the othes are hanging on in a pocket reserve, he is done.

His only hope is that a raft happens by and he migrates, And chance helps him, This spooky action is a coalition.

Then if to much coal is motioned the CO2 grandstands and thats it; extinction is inevitable.

Wait, one eon, some thermal vents interact with some UHR DNA, lets call it a research grant. It is in a isolated back committee room. Lets call that an abandoned caucus room.

Lets call that an independent movement to natural selection by adaptation… slim pickings!

Yes, CO2 changes the climate!

Assertive Ways to Say No

  1. Firmly Decline:
    • “I’m sorry, but I have to decline.”
    • “Unfortunately, I can’t agree to that.”
  2. Set Boundaries:
    • “I have to say no to that request.”
    • “I need to prioritize other commitments.”
  3. Be Direct:
    • “I appreciate the offer, but I have to say no.”
    • “I’m unable to accommodate that.”

Remember, it’s important to be respectful but firm in your communication.
