trans mountain pipeline expansion stopped stop work on it s the expansion and also shut down the supply line to the coast of BC on November 14th 2021. This is a voluntary preemptive shutdown due to the flooding in British Columbia.

The company have in some part committed it’s resources to flood mitigation.

At this time there is not a date for the return of production or construction in the norm and it’s timeline to complete the expansion by the end of 2022

Rose Behar reported two years ago that Telus CEO Entwistle had big plans for internet in BC including multi fixture use capacity of up to 5 household items.Entwistle said developments are already taking place in terms of preparation but that activity will be heightened by the second half of the 2019-2020 fiscal year. He further noted that the carrier plans to deploy all manner of spectrum in support of the new wireless generation, from 600MHz spectrum to 3.5GHz to mmWave spectrum.The CEO also noted he was excited about the “synergistic nature” of the fibre and 5G combination.

Two years on it is Safer Internet Day and most of us still relay on authorities and presume that internet is safe, so be happy and use that public trust wisely by staying civil and careful with the use of this service.

Wi-fi and a hair cut

The hair dressing shop across from the Coldwater hotel, Kruse and Style, in the 1900 block of Quilchena Ave in Merritt is getting wi-fi for their customers. It is Shaw service and it complements three services across the street in the historic hotel. “Its free to my customers “said the  apron adorned owner.

When asked about the city wide service that San Francisco brought in years ago  her reply was ” that would be great”.

The technician said it is a Shaw service for customers on a Shaw email ; when replying to the question of password protection.
