Donald and the world…

“America like a dying star will collapse or explode, we need a response…”

The line of debarking from  reasonableness is choking a captive audience. This seems to be a result of  satisfying Donald Trump’s world view.

Editor’s note: Manifestdestiny is a view that some groups have a superior  culture and that superior culture has a moral right to rule over others.

They judge by their intentions and failure and suffering that comes from  edicts are projected back  as blame and a result of not enough cooperation .

Don’t be  condescending to anyone,

This is the essence of ruling and the antithesis of cooperative agreement based policy.

Covid-19 BC

One hundred and twelve new cases.

BC had 112 new cases on Friday with a weekly average of 89. The daily average is approaching one hundred is significant:

The Merritt BC vaccination facility has moved to a smaller complex, that is the Memorial arena to the smaller civic center. With billions of people in the world not yet vaccinated and the border being opened on August 9th to the US, it is closing in on Vaccination availability.

Issue dropping from first of mind in Canada.

Perhaps Covid-19 will be not be top of mind soon and will go from pandemic to endemic status, so safety may not be out front however unvaccinated people can still pick up a debilitating case of the disease.

Forth serious outbreak of a strain coming from Asia.

From Covid -19 to Sar’s there has been four strains of serious virus driven disease coming from the east in recent history. It should be a priority to address this in respect to world travel and safety as variants are dangerous.

Engagement

Harry Lali  the unsuccessful incumbant in the May provincial election still has his sign up at his constituency office on Granite Avenue and Garcia street here in Merritt.  He moved out of his office some weeks ago however his name and MLA Fraser Nicola still remain on the outside of the building.

Harry spent many years in the legislature representing our riding, he was a cabinet minister in Glen Clarks NDP  government. His time and tenure was part of an era here in Merritt that saw great things and many close connections to Canadian governments and world dynamics.

It is to early to say if the era is ended here for us however we see the world as being different and closer. People growing up in the engagement era  that Harry had some dealings with are different then the  people in the news in the 20th century a very violent and chaotic time.

At some point some one will have to take the sins down. We are confident that the change in the personality of the world through engagement will remain.

Work a day

Little excitment about here today after the US Election but a sence that it means that the agenda continues and work a day style will also continue as well.

A college teacher was talking about high standards of completion of assignments being required by schools.

Some talk of the dynamics of the Republican controlled house on the agenda but no expectation of dysfunction from the US by regular people.
