TGIF-RCMP unionization…

The UBCM is preparing for a union being a part of the RCMP future. The force has had trouble with the mixing of male female members and other issues relating to management problems. The force is at this time not a civil police force but retains much of its para military tone. However the BC government is concerned over the costs involved in wage parity and and salary demands that are thought to go with unionization.

Mounties resist uniform change…

Auxiliaries tagged volunteer.

The UBCM is reporting that they want the Mounties to change the uniform that the auxiliaries wear. ” to relect the autority of the position” which would include removing the tag Volunteer.

UBCM’s primary concern is the RCMP decision to prominently display the word “volunteer” on the uniform, and how it does not accurately reflect the authority held by Auxiliaries. A more professional uniform may also help reverse a trend that has seen a number of Auxiliaries leave the RCMP in recent years, coinciding with changes that have limited the scope of the Auxiliary Program.

The famed musical ride is purported to be coming to the Merritt Rodeo grounds in August. It was last here in the summer of 1988. The demonstration of lancers, riding horses set to music is a popular exibit at many summer events. The season starts for the ride on May 15th with the commissioners inspection.
The Schedule for Merritt says August 7th 2018, a local source says Rotary has sponsored it and tickets are available through them soon.

Every spring, the RCMP Commissioner visits the Musical Ride stables in Ottawa, Ontario to inspect the Musical Ride before the start of their summer tour. The 32 horses and riders of the Musical Ride line up in rows and the Commissioner passes by each rider and horse to ensure they meet the regimental standard of dress and deportment. The Commissioner then watches the first official performance of the season and sees first-hand that the Musical Ride is ready to represent the RCMP and Canada during their annual tour.

Over the course of the 2018 tour, the Musical Ride will perform in approximately 40 communities in the provinces of Ontario and British Columbia. Musical Ride performances are a Canadian tradition which helps raise funds for local charities and community initiatives across Canada.

Sensitive information

Opinion:

The world has changed in the last few decades and the need to have secrets abated. Shared security and its value to the planet  with projects such as the international space station give pause to think. The whole concept of stolen ideas and patent fraud as it were; on the back burner.

The interdependence of the business world and a mature attitude of the good business sence of an interdependent outlook, means that thugs and mugs are not using angles to lever knowledge. Rather in our post war age people understand that their interest will be served better by a defined relationship ( our part in your discovery) as it comes to a market that consumers drive, the demise of the exclusive business relationship has a demonstrative effect as patent holders licence out and do not hold ransom new technologies but try to realize reasonable profit margins on huge volumes serving many human beings.

We find it sad to see that there is a remaining attitude with the RCMP in BC and wish that Spy Vrs Spy would stay a cartoon spoof.
