October jazz, 10 days to community media day …

Have a communicative month…

👀💭

Ten day count down

Community Media Day is October 20th 2023, an initiative to celebrate free speech and community in it’s outlets for free speech.

In a nutshell mediums are available for people to give their message with only the constraints of malice, untruth held with knowledge of it being untrue, libel and slander.

Propaganda is information without rebuttal or balancing information and often without genuine facts, it is a scourge to communities.

So, for the countdown, watch for communication vehicles and reserve your trust in the credible, but make aware the views of the incredible.

Messaging is often a challenge and sometimes toxic, however necessary.

Great Day, Thank you for being yourself.

Farmers market

October 7th 9:30 AM to 1 PM 2100 Block Quilchena Ave, last market for 2023.

Don’t be Pumpkin shy

The environment gets some relief from trucking food after growing by those that care to do some local initiative. The Nicola Valley Farmers Market, had a very successful year last year as they moved to the Arena parking lot on Voght and Merritt avenue, the proximity of shade trees and a more welcoming presence from a treed backdrop of the Baillie House Downtown Info Center made a comfortable and relaxed venue to present produce and artisan products for sale. The market operates Saturdays to early afternoon.

The season is coming to and end, with Thanksgiving on the horizon and it will be a good thing to see the industry of this assocation at it again.

BC Hydro Quick Chargers…

Quick chargers,BC Hydro at this writing BC Hydro is having installed two new Quick Chargers in the Space generally occupied by the Farmers market on Saturdays. The curling rink parking lot shares this space and has recently had 100 thousand K + face lift. this looks good for next seasons farmers market and bears well for the curling club which will enjoy the winter season, with two operating quick chargers we Hope. A construction fence remains at this 4 October writing so  get the BC Hydro app a check for availability in the coming ( we hope short time)

TGIF- Friday payday, National Coffee Day.

The observable day today is “National Coffee Day” this bit of info comes from Starbuck. We had coffees there this morning and for a friday it was very busy. Must be true; of course for working guys that s probably true most day.

The photo below is of a Diamond Driller in the 1970’s and he had his coffee in a billy can on top of an airtight wood burner behind the tarp, in what was affectionatl your kown as the shack. Long ways from the comfort of a modern car and a Starbucks stop. However coffee worked then as now without the need for much society or with society.

Coffee is multitasking every day and in every way.

Big Harvest moon tonight and tommarow

Normal moment

a minute to think…

In response to your request, here is some information about mask mandates:

A mask mandate refers to a government or public health authority’s requirement for individuals to wear face masks or face coverings in specific settings or situations. The purpose of a mask mandate is to help reduce the spread of infectious diseases, particularly during times of increased transmission, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mask mandates can vary in their scope and application. Some mandates may apply to specific locations, such as public transportation, indoor public spaces, or crowded outdoor areas, while others may be more widespread and require masks to be worn in all public settings. The specific details of mask mandates, including who is exempted and the types of masks that are considered acceptable, can be determined by the issuing authority.

It’s important to note that mask mandates are often implemented alongside other preventive measures, such as social distancing and hand hygiene, to provide a more comprehensive approach to limiting the spread of infectious diseases.

If you have further questions or need more specific information about mask mandates in your area, I recommend referring to official government or public health websites for the most up-to-date and accurate information.
