Vote and note…

Editorial:

Always in an election mode. Thinking you wish the US election was over so we would have some rest for a few years.?

Well I hate to disappoint you but the United States is different then Canada. Yes, we can probably avoid most things in our politics for most of 4 years and only be committed to 6 weeks of some sort of rabbid attention. However, the United States is different. They determined when they made their constitution up that it would always have to be an election. There would be very little difference from regular days and campaign days because once settled in office it begins immediately again.

Note

We have a lot of US media here in Canada, so in some aspects we are afflicted by the politics in the United States more than we ought to. We chose “*Responsible government” over their style of Representative government because it would give us some break from constant politics. Do you wonder why it seems like your life is embroiled, well just look and how much time you spend considering issues  that you’ve delegated to your elected officials to solve for us. Even diplomacy between Canada and the United States is  delegated. Not seeing it? You my friend have been sold, something that you shouldn’t have bought,

Head in sand bad?…

Maybe not, you know the ostrich population goes on and on, what else do they do that gives them the ability to survive if not providing the stillness to a prey that should be fleeing. How else do you provoke attention that you shouldn’t deserve? I bet that you have experienced toxic conversations more often than you needed in the last few years, whatever happened to  the saying ” not my circus, not my monkeys”?

Peace tower is ours

So we take note of who’s responsible in our community. Usually businessmen that are successful doctors that have good practices and surviving patients.Local counselors that did well at the local level.

Why can’t we pay attention to 6 weeks every 4 years? Elect people we can delegate and feel confident in and go back to our peace.

I think it’s because we’re baited to sell our peace at a paupers purse. When our peace as it was produced came without toxic troubled talk, but just good old responsible work. Borrowing trouble ⛈️ is a fools bargain.

You be wise and show calm and de-escalation wherever toxic and troubled politics. I want to see that value again.

Thank you for considering my point of view, you can go back to your own monkeys now.

Have a great day…

Leaders Debate Coming

Tuesday Oct 8th

The October 19th election will be the object of the coming leaders debate. Majority Government weakness, Deficit level, care for doing right for the People of BC, these issues will set the tone.

Freedom is not anti mandate…

Freedom is not an anti mandate.

Washington state is being sued by anti-vaccination interests. The State of Washington is mandating health workers to get covid-19 shots. The governor is saying that it is not unreasonable to require the workers to protect the health of the people they treat. The basis tenant  of jurisdiction remains true, that jurisdiction is the rule for the rule.

Freedom is an assault when it is the rule of the tenant over the owner. Or the owner over the tenant’s person, we get that. And so does history, as it unfolded in violent and terrible loss when lines are crossed.

Want to be asked, not told…

So peoples  ancestors fought to get jurisdiction for their freedom and overtime got some. We know that, however since a sense of place is more than legal rankling over jurisdiction, they both have merit.

Jurisdiction cloaked by exclusive right is, at first glance attractive. However, the sense of place seems more inclusive. Yes, it makes you want to invite another to your liberty, a broader community, and give and take. So what is the difference between the two? They both make you do something, one seems to slip by unrewarded and the other generates pride and defensiveness. Why is that? When is it right?

Well, let’s just say defensive actions are not neighborly. Maybe it’s that simple! When you add mutual interests to the mix, its sells.

So what is the mutual interest in vaccines, for some, it’s a passing statement that blames the industry for taking  profit, or some other inconvenience Then a comment becomes an argument and away we go. So what is the answer to that, there is none, it’s a choice and you can choose not to as well.

Non withstanding a man with an experience is better off than one with an argument, that ‘won’t wash, unless the experienced is the one living in strife for so long that he never wants to see it again. That’s only happened completely a few times, so excuse us that apprentice in the endeavor, of whatever that is. Remember all those people that died and got radiation in the WW II atomic bombs drops? There was one victim that got his leukemia into remission along with a lot of burns. So that’s the answer next time you want to argue that the pandemic is good for something, and you need to be concerned, neighbor, it’s you that will survive like the Hiroshima cancer guy.

Look around and survey the depth and breadth of your realm, you may be the only one there. And have burned and are in a lonely jurisdiction, in a crowd, a crowd of those ghosts of strife, and with a mandate for strife.

Peace out PP

Opinion

The Trans Mountain pipeline gained some more credibility with a Canadian electorate having the opportunity to discuss and decide on the platforms of political parties carbon plans, which included net zero by 2050.

The pipeline brings oil sand products to the coast and is squarely in the public interest in generating the revenue neutral income and incentives to bring down emissions by the registered UN convention of net zero by 2050.

Revenue neutral means that income to government must reduce tax’s or fees elsewhere. Most likely green incentives.

The 30% cap and trade on emissions has the potential to create capital in existing industrial entities, greener capital, and updated capital that may have a net zero effect on other industries as they produce into the GDP.

Leave it in the ground…

The leave it in the ground idea was some what muted by the discourse that produced a minority government on September 20th 2021. This released the great Canadian imperative, the potential for reasonable compromise amongst reasonable people as they pursue the constitution purpose for Canada; peace order and good government, always, and in particular during the 44th federal parliaments time.

Original asperations in 2013 video, outlining proposal.

We are not telling the reader anything that they have not had opportunity to hear. As they give leave to those they have elected to carry out the business of parliament to continue. We are not government by plebiscite but responsible government with the option to call for elections if confidence in that of a time of working on our behalf loses it shine. So let’s enter the rest of our own business for at least 2, 4 or 5 years.

TGIF-Hung Parliament Opinion

The May 9th election saw a possible hung parliament! We gave 43 seats of the 87 to the incumbent Liberal government. Forty one seats to the last opposition party and three to independents.
A minority government passing a budget could happen if the independents support a confidence vote. If the speaker comes from either the opposition or the independents then it would be a hung parliament with out the independents vote as the speaker must support the status quo.
The government will run out of budget sometime before the end of the calendar year, that leaves warrants until the 5 year constitutional rule that no government can last more then 5 years should apply.
If no other party comes to the support of the liberal government by taking the speakers chair or voting to pass a confidence motion then the writ of 2013 should expire and an election should occur.
That gives basically a year of status quo to enjoy, you can hardly buy that for love or money! Parliament is going to be recalled on June 22nd the first oppurtunity for a speaker…

Writ Day…..

Today is the last day that 3rd party advertising sponsors can run ads or poll for candidates as the writ is to drop. For independent sponsors to advertise and poll after this they must be registered ,and the candidate is subject to a spending limit on third party advertisement.

October 2012 – The BC Court of Appeal found that the sections restricting third party advertising during the pre-campaign period were unconstitutional.  As a result there are currently no restrictions on election advertising conducted by independent third parties until a writ is issued for an election.  The requirements to be registered with Elections BC and comply with spending limits remain in effect for election advertising sponsored by third parties during a campaign period.

Three candidates are nominated in Fraser Nicola and can be viewed at: http://elections.bc.ca/docs/2017-provincial-general-election/standing-nominees.PDF?v=2017-04-10

Nominations end April 18th.
