Moon base

Musky point of view..

The commerical hopeful SpaceX has had three recent test flights of its interplanetary rocket that they U to use to establish their presence in space, the moon and then Mars. The Starship has tickled the face of low earth orbit collect data then failed to return; something integeral to the program.

Nasa is to fly around the moon in the new Artimas I Rocket then return to earth with its 4 live crew persons in a test for a landing with the historic first female to be on the moon. Good luck.

Both Musk’s SpaceX and NASA are progressing in their respective programs for lunar exploration. SpaceX has conducted three recent test flights of its interplanetary rocket, Starship, aimed at establishing a presence in space, the moon, and eventually Mars. While they have collected data from low Earth orbit, they encountered issues with the rocket’s return, which is a crucial aspect of the program.

On the other hand, NASA is advancing with its Artemis I mission, planning to fly around the moon using the new Artemis I Rocket. The mission will also mark a historic event with the inclusion of the first female astronaut to walk on the moon. The program is moving forward as NASA prepares for a test landing with a live crew of four astronauts. This sets the stage for an exciting period of lunar exploration for both SpaceX and NASA.

Creating a moonbase involves several safety concerns that need to be addressed to ensure the well-being of the inhabitants and the success of the mission. Some of the key safety concerns include:

  1. Radiation Exposure: The moon’s surface lacks a protective atmosphere, exposing inhabitants to a higher level of cosmic and solar radiation. Shielding materials and designated shelters must be implemented to minimize radiation exposure.
  2. Micrometeoroids and Lunar Dust: Lunar dust and micrometeoroids pose a risk to structures as well as the health of astronauts. Designing resilient structures and developing proper filtration systems are essential to mitigate these risks.
  3. Life Support Systems: Reliable life support systems are crucial for providing a habitable environment, including clean air, water, and food. Fail-safes and redundancies must be in place to ensure continuous support.
  4. Regolith Contamination: Controlling the spread of lunar regolith (soil) within the living spaces is important to prevent contamination of living quarters and equipment, which could pose health risks and affect the functionality of machinery.
  5. Psychological Well-being: Isolation, confinement, and the challenges of living in a harsh lunar environment can impact the mental well-being of inhabitants. Psychological support and recreational activities play a vital role in sustaining the mental health of the moonbase residents.

Addressing these safety concerns is essential for the successful establishment and operation of a moonbase, fostering a sustainable and secure environment for lunar exploration and potential future human habitats.

Precautions for Viewing Solar Events

When it comes to observing solar events such as a solar eclipse, it’s crucial to take the necessary precautions to protect your eyes. Here are some important measures to keep in mind:

  1. Avoid Direct Viewing: It’s imperative not to look directly at the sun during a solar event, even if there are clouds present. The sun’s powerful rays can cause permanent damage to your eyes, so it’s essential to use protective measures.
  2. Use Approved Eyewear: When observing a solar eclipse or any solar event, ensure that you use approved solar viewing glasses or specially designed filters for telescopes or cameras. These tools are specifically designed to protect your eyes while allowing for safe observation of the sun.
  3. Alternative Viewing Methods: If you don’t have access to certified solar viewing glasses, there are alternative methods for safely observing a solar event. One common approach is to use a pinhole projector, which projects an image of the sun onto a surface without the need for direct viewing.

Remember, protecting your eyes during solar events is of the utmost importance. By following these precautions, you can safely appreciate the awe-inspiring phenomena of the sun without risking your vision.

Commercial spaceflight, bread and butter.

The launch of the Axiom and falcon 9 may not be as spectacular as the failed to orbit attempt,in recent weeks of the big Starship, however this commercial offloading and dissemination of responsibilities will be the bread and butter of any kind of space permanent presence.

NASA Dart rocket intervienor hits an asteroid targeted to experiment with intervention at 14,000 miles an hour.

Hit a bullet with a bullet, no mean feat.

Reality and entertainment can go hand in hand in experiments, 🤔 not so much in drama like Bruce Willis’s Armageddon show but the Earth is a little more secure from a fear of asteroid catastrophes because the hand of man has proved that it’s capable to rising to a moment again.

Artemis 1 Invincible, Eddie Vedder …

Launch Scrubbed September 3 2022.

The second attempt to launch the new heavy lifter taking the O’Ryan lunar system on a test mission around the Moon and back to a hotter entry back into the Earth’s atmosphere and safely to the Earth again was scrubbed today. Saturday September 3rd 2022’s scrub came from a 2 to 3 times higher hydrogen mixture in the ambient air inside the rocket that was considered safe. A four percent level is the limit that the triangle of ignition is considered unlikely. The three elements air hydrogen, oxygen and ignition. Last Mondays launch attempt had the issue being dealt with manually and was focused around a quick disconnect coupling.

NASA believes that an automated process needs to take the place up the manual. It is yet to be determined if the rocket will be rolled back away from the launch pad for work as that decision is out of the control of the managers and in the control of the range managers and when more information is available Monday or Tuesday negotiation will begin for that purpose to mitigate the 25-day barrier that the range people automatically invoke on a scrubbed event.

No one is Invincible.

However enjoy the sense of power of technology and effort that is possible when this creature becomes ready for mission again.
