TGIF -Aurora…

The solar mass ejection of recent months is giving some Aurora. AKA Northern lights,Southern Lights, are active this year and beauty and observance aside the effects of solar particles going past the poles can be dramatic on our planet.

Reflects sun light.

The crowns of the globe are sometimes resplendant with reflecting solar particals.This has a cooling effect on the earth, similar to the presence of sulfur from volcanic eruptions, the mix of charged elements in our environments makes for a soup of chemical energy and mass interaction.

There are numbers of agencies that do science in the grip of our existance; one is the National Aeronautical and Space Administration. This US government organization along with NOAH are the main drivers of knowledge of earth and space science.

Partial eclipse:

The moon will try another step in its dance with the shadow of our earth today at 00:57.27 AM, Pacific Daylight Time. A full lunar eclipse can only happen with a full moon. The moon appears full for a number of days each cycle every month, however, it is only completely full for a number of hours in each cycle. This can allow for a partial eclipse such as the one today. The 97 % and change eclipse will start at 10:00 PM PST on the 18th and end at 4:06 AM on the 19th

A lunar eclipse can only take place during the full moon. During a partial lunar eclipse, the Moon is partially covered by the shadow of the Earth and starts changing color to copper-red. This partial lunar eclipse will be visible in North, Central and South America, Asia and Australia. In Europe and Africa it will be partially visible. It can’t be seen in the Middle and Near East. It will be the longest partial lunar eclipse since the 15th century.

More energic time, re sun…

In 2019 the sun started an 11-year sunspot cycle according to NASA. We just had a mass ejection on the sun and there is still a chance to see some energetic green aurora this weekend.

The strongest part of the storm and the best time to see the Northern Lights is expected to arrive between 5 and 8 p.m. ET on October 30, according to the NOAA’s predictions.

If the northern lights can be seen tonight, it will be low on the horizon. The rotation of the earth makes it hard to predict.

William Shatner to fly today Wednesday. October 13th 2921. The brief rocket flight will lift Bill and three others to the edge of space for a view of the planet. The return will see the capsule under parachutes land in the Texas desert.

The fall equinox marks the end of summer, it can be anywhere from September 21st to 24th, there has not been a September 21st equinox for thousands of years. this highlights the weight of time that went in to the orbit cycles and its consistency

Today is the international day for the preservation of the ozone layer. the chemical make up is 0;, it is called trioxygen sometimes. The element is blueish in colour and it stinks. The primary value to us is a filter for harmful UV rays.

Fishing by moonlight..

The full moon for August 22nd 2021 is tonight. Called a sturgeon moon because that fish was readily caught on the Great Lakes in the moonlight that it provided..

Full for about 5 hrs.

At 8:02( Eastern time(3:32 pacific) the moon will be full and it will last about 5 hrs of total fullness.

No its not your pet it is the the dog star, Sirius, Canis Majoros, its the star the ancients waited to see come above the horizon so it was safe to plant along the Nile river because that God was watching over them.

That star is more that 2 solar mass’s and 10,000 degrees Celsius on its surface making it the brightest star in the night sky.

Mid August helical rising above the horizon in north America should see it come into view in the eastern sky before sunrise.

The star may be visible without scopes on August 11th 2021 at 41.7 north above the horizon.

Hot and enjoyable summer days.

The dog days of summer are hot and enjoyable with overnight lows cooling and giving a pleasant time of temperate and hopeful days. (Crops coming up)!

Cooling for the night.

Soak your pillow cases in cold tap water ring them out and dry some before bedtime. Maybe sheets too. Or put them in the fridge to cool them down before going to bed.

Bucket of cold water to put your feet in if you wake.

Close blinds and curtains during day.

Ensure your fans are pushing air optimally not hot air that has risen to the ceiling down to your living space.

Stay happy don’t get hot under the collar.
