500 million dollars BC Hydro. This project is going to be done by BC Hydro. Although their name Hydro connotates the fact that they own every drop of water in British Columbia as a monopoly for power generation. They are expanding wind farms and power smart are in their resume.
The company has just been directed to do everything as efficiently as possible and they’re waiving the environmental assessment. Which may in one case be reasonable because of the wind and its passiveness. However, they are notorious for bird kills and I would think that would be part of the environment. More on this later we hope. Maybe we can get a quote from theNicola Naturalist Society Incorporated. Alan Berger president.
Post office open with postings saying they are to deliver government checks by the 20th for those vulnerable.
Back to work.
The 55 000 postal workers are back on the job in the morning tomorrow.
8:00 a.m. in the morning tomorrow Tuesday back to work with a 5% raise retroactive the beginning of the action. Labor authorities declared an impasse. An order coming for them to work until May 25. Hopefully discussions will continue for the whole time.
Wherever you stand in last year’s accounting, whether you lost or won the world lost a little bit and you’re part of it. So here’s a little solace for your soul. Good night!.

Anyway, let’s hope that next spring is more wet than the last few years, especially here in South Central interior, British Columbia where we feel it the most.
Apparently an impasse or something has stifled negotiations and the government is preparing to order them back to work. This could be a cooling off. Her could be arbitration. But for some elements of the community, it’ll be welcome relief.
