May has an American Craft Beer week, running from today until Sunday the 23rd craft beer week gives status to the consumer driven choice that free market driven access gives. Not some stoic two of each kind of business, over lorded by mandarins, the laborers go to refreshment is on the scrutiny block .

Choice is good and is better in the hands of more people. Responsibility is good however it sometimes in the hands of two few people. You be the judge this week. Glug Glug…

Butterflies and Moths…

The last item under Interesting things in he right hand menu bar on the blog home page has a butterflies and moths link to log sightings. data collected is used for conservation purposes. If you take in a campsite this year why not take a picture of butterflies , moths and caterpillars and register them once you open an account. There are many identified on the website already and adding yours will enhance data collection.

The power utility has camp sites in BC and unlike the the the dam visitor sites the rec sites are open this spring and summer (avoid weekends) as they are busy then.

First come first serve no reservations are taken.

Hydro rec sites are first come first serve.

Group Art Show May 5th- 23rd 2021

May 5th the Nicola Valley Community Arts Council is having a new show at its down town gallery. The Canadian Mental Health Association group Clubhouse is presenting from their Forging Connections program.

Thursday May 6th 2021 there is a meet and greet from 1: 30 – 2:30 Pm as well. Six people in gallery at one time and other Covid- 19 restictions.

The show is regular hours Wednesday through Saturday 11pm – 6PM Sunday 12 noon to 4PM.

The Nicola Valley Art Gallery is at 2051 Voght street ,( take the Kekilui entrance go up the walk.
