What is normal? It matters the context, what is normal to a drowning person is not normal to a secure lively individual. So by the end of summer there is a hope for normal life back to the people of BC that have endured a long bout of pandemic lessoned activity. This is a desire that is different with many people those that nearly drowned in the time period . And those that did reasonably well with the support given will have a different take on what is normal of normal. The people that did better by it another take.
To continue the metaphor of the drowning man, throwing a line that is reachable and not taken will produce a survivor that has a view of his individual effort being the value to be preserved. A good and strong reserve going forward for him to risk again, Those that were dependant will remain dependant but in truth no one had a complete case of either or as the effect of one played into the experience of the other. This will be the continuing normal for going forward for some time more.
It’s a two way street give and it comes back or maybe if not it goes some where you have effected situations unkown! We are all in this together ,a communicable disease that has no redemption in its self. But we all contribute to the pot of hope and the balancing of outcome.
Living our lives and doing our lively hoods offends or challenges others in a way out of our control however offending with our talk is mostly in our control and if we do not offend lightly in speech and other communications we are to be commented. This is needed when trying to return to a normal real or imagined. Good luck!
See you on the normal side…

Trans mountain pipeline company is working on the twinning of their 60 year old line from Alberta to the west coast. The now completed Green energy project above got copy from a platform; is the info correct or sales puffing. Ask the financers? Is there an age of truthiness coming to deal with debt piled up out of Covid-19?
The Covid-19 restrictions caused a drop in demand and perhaps will change habits and expectations for consumption.
The size and complexity of the global crude oil market has expanded significantly since the Trans Mountain Pipeline entered service in the 1950s. Canada is the fourth largest oil producing country globally, behind the United States, Russia and Saudi Arabia and approximately equivalent to Iraq in terms of daily oil production. Canada’s oil consumption is comparatively small, so our nation is a net exporter of petroleum products and crude oil. Canada has the third largest proven crude oil reserves globally behind Saudi Arabia and Venezuela as a result of the approximate 170-billion-barrel oilsands. Export of crude oil and refined products has been, and will continue to be, a significant economic impact for Canada.

In 2019, global crude oil and liquid hydrocarbon production and related demand was nearly 100 million barrels per day. The COVID-19 pandemic decreased global demand for oil roughly 30 per cent by May 2020[1]. Implicit in studies such as the Internal Energy Agency (IEA) on Global Demand see support for an expected recovery in demand, however, the pace of recovery is unclear given the uncertainty associated with the course of the COVID-19 virus[2]. Even in this difficult year of 2020 with reduced global demand resulting from COVID-19 and lower oil prices, the Trans Mountain Pipeline has continued to be full, with demand exceeding the current capacity.

The committee on climate action met on November 13th. This was their third meeting. The group included BC Hydro with an interest in advancing their step code.
FortisBC also presented its Clean Energy Vision, and highlighted the different low carbon pathways that could be taken to achieve provincial emission reduction targets.
The Committee reviewed and discussed Committee member submissions on key local government pathways for reducing emissions and for achieving a maximum 1.5 to 2 degrees Celsius global temperature rise. The submissions focused on buildings, transportation, energy systems, waste management, land use planning, natural assets, and carbon sequestration. Committee deliberations addressed both the barriers to successfully implementing these pathways, as well as the factors that would ensure their successful adoption. The Committee will continue to explore mitigation pathways and extend this to issues related to adaptation at its next meeting in December.
Not a good alternative unless for waste.
Peter gave the last of three talks on the energy needs of humankind and its ability to switch to alternatives in energy from fossil fuels. The pessimistic facts based talks dismissed many alternatives as political and we would use all fossil fuels with in the next few hundred years. He said carbon, phosphorous , ammonia etc is an crucial element to life on earth as fertilizer as well as energy. They are needed to support populations. ” In 80 million years the earth will be a dead planet with all its carbon locked up in limestone.” No reasonable escape to Space”
Peter estimated that if world followed Japans example of a population of 30 percent old people then crisis would be managed better. Material prosperity is also having a positive impact on smaller families in many countries.
