Why wait make your peace today…

Remember that golf club you borrowed from Uncle Sid, you could bring it back today and make him feel well and able to do things like eight holes sorry nine holes.

How about that project you started and have left partly done, why don’t you make a schedule and holy smokes bring it to pass.

And what about those people that you have been offended by you know the ones, the ones that when you think about it you’re delusion increases. Give it up do something positive with those guys today make an engagement see if you get peace out of it.

We will leave the rest to you because you are well able.

Lots of peaceful well accepted places today, why wait do it today, and then live as an agent of peace for ever.

Sweet Music, has charm.

Merritt was looking for a theme at one time,it remains a multi purpose economy.

The local people of Merritt are very much keen on contemporary country and western music, as well as Rock and Roll. The Desert inn in Merritt has a mural of “the King” on its southern side. The mural was done by Michele Loughery of Vernon, an acclaimed artist, at the hight of the Merritt Mountain music festival Era two decades ago. The mural has been edited to remove a 50’s Era chev car and a Shell gas pump.

Water

The City of Merritt has not put restrictions on water as they would normally on May 1st, instead they are relying, on provincial drought regulations which at this writing do not have any restrictions on the two rivers in Merritt.

Today in 1901: oil gusher in Texas

January 10th 1901 the Spindletop oil well comes. Spindletop was the first great well of the Texas oil bonanza.

So, we go where we go and go when, we have gas.
Some that don not, will not and respite will prevail.
Winds of change will make our bed unless we will not sail.
On that breeze complete, with out ease, and before we sneeze.
Let reflect on what was best, and forget the rest, it was a pest.

Adjust to what is it that makes some sense. Nor other does best!

The only data difference that resonates…

The amount of people, roads and vehicles, you have to be a cartoon character to understand. There were 1,600,000,000 in 1900 we just went over 8 billion in 2022.

Most of the world is seeking a lifestyle more in line with the US. The Irony is that oil produced the variance. Anyway if you work at it there are lots more friends available.

I would change nothing about myself; I will leave that to forces I come up to and continue to grow in experience and comfort of peace.🤳

Nicola Naturalists Society.

The NNS is participating in the annual Christmas bird count again this year. On Saturday the members and president Alan Burger will go out and count and classify numbers of our our featured friends. The goal beyond the pleasant outing and enjoying a fellowship experience will provide data. The data is for here is usually published by February and those that care take note over time and experience in the dynamics of ornithology and its progress or decline.

This will be the 24th Christmas Bird Count in the Merritt count circle. You don’t have to be an expert birder to participate – the count is done in groups and there are always one or more experienced birders in each group. So this is a great way to learn the winter birds in the Nicola Valley. To register please email:   nicolanaturalists@gmail.com
