Cooler Pacific.

So another day another La Nina claim…

This is data on flooding in Australia and drought in east Africa. The contention is that the La Nina from the eastern Pacific is dealing with cooler water from somewhere, it appears to us as to be about right they still border on extremes amd wet weather is better then fires, so the summer as starts to draw to a close down under and it seems they escaped the bullet. Good for them.

Stormy skies 💫 for BC

Yes we will have weather for the weekend and atmosphere with time change (spring ahead).

Weekend Weather Forecast for British Columbia (March 8th – 10th, 2024)

Ensure to stay updated with local forecasts as conditions may change.

We will overcome…

Big Scale

Huge scale for those that come from small town.

El Nino

Some forecasters are anticipating a change from El Nino to La Nina meaning quieter water in the Pacific in the Southern hemisphere and above. This may drastically change our weather if the current El nino collapses suddenly for this summer.

Currents, winds, colder water at depth and many other Dynamics make for weather from climate.

Quieter surface water in the tropical make for heating that will eventually turn to storms which will make way for colder water from below.

Boiling oceans

A Spector that the UN raised when water off the Florida coast was documented at 100° f, the boiling point of water is 212°f. So this concern was probably justified as analogy but a stretch and overly exaggerated,or underappreciated as to the scale of such a condition might be. Water does boil at 100 degrees Celsius, this may occur in volcanic conditions but how much is not a lot in the scope of all the inputs to weather. Warning ⚠️ remains potent as we take on views that safety and environment is not a given. So,get above just copying and live as every moment and interaction is blessed.

Forcastimg

Ontario recent forecast is typical of the work of weather in flows. An artic outflow in January brought cold to BC as it flowed across it to the Pacific and created weather out of the currents and flows it abated.

Eco systems by patterns

We live in ecosystems created by weather patterns and the adaptation of flora and fauna in the natural world. Many inputs from humankind can and will influence climate and weather. Although ultimately we remain in a precarious dependency on forces that we control less than we believe we do we are to be thankful that climate produces weather and we adapt to it to prosper in a natural way. So that hope remains.

Catastrophic inputs always a reality.

What else can be said don’t take it personal when these events surprise. You are only a person, subject to random, for good and not so much.

WEATHER SOMEWHERE

Count your lucky stars…

we are better off the many.

Luck can be understood as a combination of chance, circumstances, and opportunity. When it comes to individuals, luck can play a significant role in their lives. Some may seem to have more “luck” than others, whether it’s in terms of career success, relationships, or personal achievements. However, it’s important to remember that luck is not entirely random. A person’s mindset, preparedness, and actions can influence the outcomes they experience. Moreover, one individual’s perception of luck may differ from another’s, as it is subjective and can be shaped by cultural, social, and personal factors. Ai

Make your own luck. KDG

How the climate made History part two.

Over time weather made man, man has only made weather in the recent years of industrailization.

Climate makes weather

From the formation of small tribes to the rise of vast empires, the evolution of human societies has been a remarkable journey marked by cultural, technological, and political advancements. Small tribes, often formed around kinship ties and shared cultural practices, gradually transitioned into complex civilizations with large territorial holdings and sophisticated governmental structures. This progression was driven by various factors such as agriculture, trade, conquest, and religious or ideological movements. The transformation of small, localized communities into vast empires not only reshaped political landscapes but also fostered the exchange of ideas, goods, and innovations on a global scale, contributing to the rich tapestry of human history.

No weather no life

An empire is a strong entity, Kings of Kings made organising a feat of neccesity when good weather made healthy factions it also made rivals out of competitors coming out of tribal instincts war was a real factor in possessing the best weather related lands. So, climate made for weather that in cycles made Empires.

Kadesh treaty

The very first peace treaty is in the United Nations entrance in New York city. Between the Hittites and another tribe ( Egypt) of the fertile crescent reach area the peoples enjoyed the bounty of the area as the world slowly broke free of the the Ice age and crops made for prosperous food supplies. This changed the dynamics of tribal conflict and aggrement over sharing by treaty was attractive. Losses in war and conflict over hunting areas were mitigated thanks to good weather from the changing climate.

Oxymoron

Does one cancel out the other? If it does that’s an oxymoron.

Solstice tonight

7:27 PM Pacific time

What is the winter solstice to bring to the West coast of North America

The Winter solstice, occurring on December 21st in the Northern Hemisphere, brings the shortest day and the longest night of the year. Specific changes associated with this event include the lowest position of the sun in the sky, marking the official start of winter, and the gradual lengthening of daylight hours following the solstice. It also holds cultural and spiritual significance for various traditions and is often celebrated with rituals, festivals, and gatherings.

A march is on to the longest day in June 2024, that will see the amount of daylight peak on Thursday the 20th at 1:50 PM Pacific time. The orbit of the earth will then begin its tip of the Northern Hemisphere away from the sun. The tip is approx 23 degrees to verticial standing with the sun.

Electric vehicles in BC

Electric vehicles (EVs) in British Columbia (BC) are becoming increasingly popular as more people recognize the environmental and economic benefits they offer. The provincial government, along with various organizations, has been implementing initiatives to encourage the adoption of EVs.

BC has an extensive network of charging stations, making it convenient for EV owners to charge their vehicles while on the go. There are different types of charging stations, including Level 1, Level 2, and DC Fast Chargers, catering to the varying charging needs of EV drivers.

One of BC’s notable incentives for EV owners is the Clean Energy Vehicle (CEV) Program. This program provides rebates for the purchase or lease of eligible new electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles. The amount of the rebate depends on the type of vehicle and its battery capacity.

In addition to the CEV Program, BC offers other incentives, such as reduced toll rates for EVs crossing certain bridges and priority access to high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes. These benefits make owning an EV in BC more affordable and convenient.

Furthermore, the provincial government has set ambitious goals to transition to a cleaner transportation system. BC aims to have all new light-duty vehicles sold be zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) by 2040. This commitment demonstrates BC’s dedication to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable transportation.

Overall, the future looks promising for electric vehicles in BC. With a supportive government, a robust charging infrastructure, and enticing incentives, more residents are expected to make the switch to electric vehicles, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future for the province.
